When you create a Folaria account, we collect your email address, your password (stored securely as a hash), your username (if provided), and basic technical data such as timezone (used to support app functionality).

You may also choose to add content to your account, including plant cards, journal entries, photos, propagation records, and other related data. This content belongs to you.

Authentication
You can sign in using email and password or Google authentication. When using Google login, we receive basic account information (such as your email) from Google.

Payments
If you subscribe to Pro, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store or have access to your full payment details. Stripe may collect billing information in accordance with their own privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy

Analytics
We use analytics tools to understand how Folaria is used and to improve the product. These tools may collect anonymized or aggregated usage data. We do not use advertising trackers or sell your data.

We use your data only to operate and improve Folaria:

• To create and secure your account.
• To store and display your content.
• To provide core app functionality.
• To process subscriptions and payments.
• To send transactional emails (password reset, receipts, account-related notifications).
• To send occasional product updates related to Folaria.

We do not sell your data.

Your data is stored using secure cloud infrastructure and storage providers. We take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

We rely on trusted third-party providers to operate Folaria:

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Google — authentication (if you use Google login).
• Email delivery providers — transactional emails.
• Analytics providers — product usage insights.

These providers only process data as necessary to perform their services.

We retain your data as long as your account is active.

If you delete your account:

• Your data is soft-deleted immediately.
• It is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

You have the right to:

• Access your data.
• Request correction of your data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Export your data (available on Pro plan).

Folaria uses essential cookies required for authentication and core functionality.

These cookies are necessary for the app to function and are secure. They are not used for advertising. We do not use advertising cookies.

Folaria is operated from the United States. By using the service, you understand that your data may be processed and stored in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

Folaria is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or within the app. Continued use of Folaria after updates means you accept the revised policy.
